Rancho Alpujarra is a welcoming rural campsite set within a small, lived-in community in southern Spain. We offer simple spaces for campervans and for those who prefer tent camping, with optional electricity available. Our facilities are intentionally rustic, designed for guests who value nature, simplicity, and authentic outdoor living.

Rancho Alpujarra is more than a campsite — it is an evolving, eco-conscious community project. Every euro of profit is reinvested back into the land to improve infrastructure, develop better utilities, increase sustainability, and enhance the overall guest experience. Our goal is long-term regeneration — caring for the land, improving it responsibly, and creating a space that grows stronger year after year.

As several people live on the land, friendly community dogs are loose around the property, and at times goats and ponies wander through, adding to the genuine countryside atmosphere. We warmly welcome families, pets, and guests of all kinds, fostering a relaxed, inclusive, and community-driven environment.
Throughout the year, we occasionally host seasonal gatherings, workshops, and celebrations that bring people together. We offer guided walks, sightseeing opportunities, and local knowledge of the beautiful Alpujarra region. On occasion, we provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to strengthen the shared, communal experience.

The campsite is just a 15-minute walk (or 5-minute drive) from the nearby town with full amenities, approximately 40 minutes’ drive from both the mountains and the beach, and around one hour from the nearest airport. We also sometimes have an on-site mechanic available for campervan assistance.
Rancho Alpujarra is a place to connect — with nature, with community, and with a project that is constantly reinvesting in a greener, more sustainable future.

Rancho Alpujarra – House Guidelines

• Please respect the land, the people living here, and fellow guests at all times.
• This is a shared, lived-in community space — keep noise considerate, especially later in the evening.
• Leave communal areas (toilet, shower, fire pit) clean and ready for the next person.
• Fires are only permitted in the designated fire pit, must always be supervised, and are not allowed during the summer months due to fire risk.
• Dogs are welcome, but owners are responsible for their behaviour and cleaning up after them.
• Children are very welcome, but must be supervised at all times.
• Please respect nature — no littering, and help us care for and protect the land.

We keep things relaxed and based on mutual respect — good energy and open communication go a long way here.
