THE APARTMENT
Please read the entire description and house rules before booking, to fully understand all of the rules and details of our property to make sure its the right fit for your stay.

This 1920’s vintage 2-family flat has been fully renovated and is located in the historic riverside neighborhood of Jefferson Chalmers/Riverbend. This large brick beauty is spacious and has been designed to offer you a comfortable and convenient place to stay 15 min from Downtown Detroit and 10 min from the Detroit River. It is also just a few blocks from Grosse Pointe where you will have easy access to grocery stores like Trader Joes and Kroger, neighborhood restaurants and convenience stores are also within walking distance.

You will have full, private access to the ground floor unit during your stay. Its the perfect rendezvous location if you are here visiting family or enjoying a weekend of fun with friends. If you’re a boater, we are only 10 min away from several marinas and boat launches. We will allow you to bring your boat with you, depending on the size. Just reach out to us and ask.

The HUGE, well lit backyard is fully fenced, for privacy, and has plenty of seating for everyone in your party. There is a firepit and a heat lamp for those chilly Fall and Winter nights in the “D”. Inside the unit, there are no steps. Everything is all on one floor and we have lovingly remodeled and outfitted the entire property.

When you arrive, you will use the coded lock on front door and immediately come into the large foyer where there is an area for you to store your shoes and jackets.

The spacious living room has a 55″ HD 4K Smart TV and is the next area you will enter. It has plenty of comfortable seating including a sofa bed with queen mattress. The living room then leads you into the large dining room area. The dining table has seating for 6.

The dining area also includes a corner area with a chair and desk for your laptop, a buffet with drawers where games and other convenience amenities are stored and can also double as an extra area for serving trays during meal time. The dining area leads right into the gorgeous, brightly lit gourmet kitchen.

The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, ceiling fan, over stove vent and lighting, Bluetooth speaker, plenty of cooking and eating utensils for your group, pots/pans, bowls, coffee station, microwave, stove with integrated air fryer and a fridge, which has freezer with ice maker at bottom. This space is also great for bringing in your own private chef for a small dinner party or an intimate romantic dinner.

A Stackable washer/dryer is in the kitchen area for your use as well. We supply a starter-kit of washing powder, dryer sheets and stain remover.

The three bedrooms and the bathroom are located on the left side of the apartment, connected by a central hallway accessible from kitchen and/or dining room area. In bedrooms 1 and 2, you will find King size beds that have brand new Linen Spa 12″ hybrid mattresses dressed with high quality linens. In bedroom 3 (smoking lounge), there is a full size futon for sleeping and two comfortable futon chairs for relaxing while you watch your favorite program on the provided 43″ HD Smart TV. There is closet space in all bedrooms for storage of your clothing during your stay. The bathroom is well appointed and includes a tub/shower combo, curved shower rod, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer, hand soap and makeup removal wipes.

We provide extra HDMI cords on both TV’s for your gaming system, if you choose to bring one and an iron/board is provided along with extra linens and towels.

NEIGHBORHOOD
Property is located close to downtown Detroit in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood, which has officially been recognized as a National Treasure, which pretty much means it’s one of the best neighborhoods in Detroit! It’s in a bike-friendly area, so feel free to bring your bike! We provide an outdoor area for you to secure your bike using your own lock.

TRANSPORTATION
Drive your car, ride your bike or use nearby public transportation, such as bus lines and electric scooters.

SIGHTSEEING/THINGS TO DO
Its only a 15 minute drive (by car, Uber or Lyft) to downtown Detroit and Eastern Market, a 10 minute walk to downtown Grosse Pointe Park where you will find a walkable strip with more bars, restaurants, shops and salons, the Detroit Riverfront is 10-15 min away where you can fish, launch your boat, visit our beautiful, beloved Belle Isle park or stroll along our award winning Riverwalk. It is also centrally located allowing you to visit nearby areas such as East English Village, Chandler Park, Midtown, New Center, Campus Martius, Rivertown Warehouse District, West Village, enjoying some of the local night life, concerts and sporting events we are known for, but far enough away from everything to relax and chill in peace and quiet. If you are coming here for business, you will be a 10 min drive from all major freeways, the Fiat/Chrysler plant is 5 min away, GM building downtown is 15 min away along with various other companies housed in the downtown Detroit area.

SMOKING POLICY
Our place is 420 friendly, so if you like to indulge, we have created a customized smoking lounge inside one of the bedrooms of the property for you to partake of your own flower and non-flame vape products, conveniently, without having to go outside (no hookahs, cigarettes or cigars allowed inside of property). We provide a commercial air cleaner, inside this room, to eliminate smells. We also provide convenience items, in the smoking lounge, to enjoy in the event you have forgotten something.

ACCESSING THE APARTMENT
A coded Smart lock allows you to access the property on your own. You will have private access to the entire first floor apartment . You may also utilize the backyard, which is in the rear of the property. This is a shared space with plenty of seating and is well lit at night. There is also a firepit, which is available for use. We also provide games for those days you want to remain inside and just chill.

We have free private off-street parking available on site.

House Rules

Once your booking request is received and we preapprove it, we will request your email address to send you our rental agreement to sign electronically.

Quiet time is Sun-Th from 10pm-8am and Fri-Sat 12am-9am

Do not manually lock the lower non-coded locks on any doors to avoid getting locked out

No guests other than those listed or named on the reservation

There will be a $500 fine for any unauthorized animals on the property

No photo shoots or filming permitted

No fires, candles, outdoor grilling, etc. allowed

Put all remote controls back near the TV's they belong to and do not remove the ceiling fan remote from wall in kitchen

Lawn services are scheduled bi-weekly and you will be notified, in advance, if scheduled during your stay. Expect to see someone working in the yard at some point in the day and insure the driveway is clear for access to the backyard

Trash day is Thursdays, and recycling is every other Thursday. Please bring the trash bin down to the curb on Wednesday evening if you're staying during this time. Thank you!
