Rustic ART studio guest-shack in Asheville. Great for couples natural outdoor yogi artist bohemian types.
In West Asheville, rural feeling but only 2 miles to Patton Ave & 5 miles (10 min) to downtown. Private & peaceful. Certified Wildlife Habitat. Birds chirping & bunnies hopping. Decor of unique art, antiques, instruments, plants, nature.

Art studio/guestshack modified modular separate from our house, come & go as late as you want.
5 miles from downtown. Will pass ramshackle cacophony of hillbilly dwellings. Will need car or uber.
-Bedroom has door to outside, full bed, clean 100% egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy pillows, robes, slippers, mints, flowers, TV (vintage, not flat screen) & DVD’s (no cable), books, luggage rack. (Main bedroom currently has curtain door, 2nd bedroom has door with lock).

2nd bedroom is music studio that can be transformed into an additional private bedroom -just make the reservation for at least 4 to open 2nd bedroom.

*Vegan partial kitchen has mini fridge, sink, hotplate, a few pots & pans, dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven (no microwave!).
(As a family of life long veggies, we are serious about keeping the property at least vegetarian! Thank you! (vegan is even better, but definitely at least vegetarian!) (we provide simple vegan breakfast items).

Living room has seating, sunlight, chess board, paper & art supplies, radio/CD player, TV with DVD & VCR players (no cable).

Bathroom has clean towels, basic toiletries, extra toiletries and stocked medicine cabinet.

Plenty of fans and open windows but no AC, we love the natural mountain air.
Electric heat in winter, electric fireplace in bedroom.

Enjoy a campfire outside, a large natural yard, a rope swing on one of our big trees, bird & bunny watching.

There’s ok reception for your phone, though we haven’t got internet extended back there yet. No wi-fi!

No pets. Pet and allergy free. Please brush pet hair off clothing before entering.

We use Seventh Generation disinfectant for most the house (rugs, doors, knobs, light switches, chairs, etc), hospital grade disinfectant to mop floor, bleach for the bathroom & kitchen sink.

Late night check-in’s a-ok! Just let us know.

PLEASE NOTE: The unit is a rustic, country DYI work in progress. It is set far back from the road with aprox a 400 foot unpaved driveway. This is not a high rise in the city, not the Ritz, – it’s a humble DYI unit in progress in the woods; and we are some of the people who “keep Asheville weird” ????
There might be a few harmless “cellar spiders” even though we diligently remove them (they are actually harmless to humans & beneficial as they prey on dangerous spiders). Some tiny ants found their way inside recently and they will come out in a marching line to clean up any food or mess left out -nature’s cleaners! Please DO NOT book if ants coming for left out food bothers you. (Food is safe in fridge). We do our best to kindly remove carpenter bees from the porch, but a few slip by, they are big but totally harmless. DO NOT book if you have a problem with nature – as a Certified Wildlife Habitat, we are co-existing here! If it goes below freezing the spacious main room won’t be toasty hot but the bedrooms will. The dishes don’t all match, we haven’t finished the floor board trim, etc -but we do sweep, mop, dust, scrub, disinfect all switches, doorknobs, handles, wash all bedding & towels, provide cleaned, sanitized trash cans in every room – we work VERY hard to make it as nice as possible. But if you are looking for something sterile or upscale fancy, and would mark us less than 5 stars for *what it is*, please book a much more expensive place!

-No animal meat. Property is 100% vegan/vegetarian.

-No hairy pets due to allergies but birds, reptiles, fish and imaginary pets are great.
(Pet lovers- please try to not bring in your hairiest items and please brush hair off clothing before entering).

-All guests must be pre-approved and registered. All guests will sign our simple stay at own risk waiver. Due to Airbnb's Host Guarantee policy, no unregistered visitors. Approved visitors can be added to reservation for $15 each.

-Not childproof but very well behaved kids welcome: all human beings *that eat food* are counted as guests. Please include children in reservation.

-Responsible, light drinking only. Our zen like atmosphere is not conducive to drunkeness - no drunk/party drinking! conscious light drinking only.

-Incense and herbs are ok inside. Smoking tobacco is ok outdoors. NO TOBACCO INSIDE EVER. Leave all ashes & butts outside in ashtray.

-Must be reachable via text and communicative if needed during stay.

-Please don't touch instruments or art.

-Please clean your own hair out of the shower. We do no charge a cleaning fee.

-No messy, crumbly, greasy foods or red wine in beds.

-No massage oil. Lotion is fine, but no oils. (Seriously! 2 sets of $100+ sheets AND a rug have been ruined! No oils!)

-Please do not move furniture around/redecorate.

-Please clean your makeup and other stainy things with *washcloths* only -please don't get the towels or sheets stained!

-Drive slowly on driveway & road, watch for people & animals.

-Please don't borrow/remove any items off the property without permission.

-Please appreciate that we don't charge a cleaning fee and leave the space as you found it.

-Although it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, please be aware that there are neighbors that sound can carry to and don't be too loud. Outdoor quiet hours: 10pm-9am

-Help yourself to complimentary condiments, tea, coffee, fruit, bagels, cereal, juice, milk, etc, we provide for you in the fridge.
BUT the stocked cupboard with EXTRA goodies is a very convenient "convenience store" with an honor system Donation Jar. Any use of this cupboard requires mandatory donation. This cupboard is NOT for free, but for your convenience! ????

-Please stay out of the back porch garden.

-Triple check to be sure you have all your belongings when checking out - $15 minimum shipping *and handling* to pack up and make a trip to the PO to send forgotten items!

-If you need to return after check out for any reason, please contact us first.

-Please tell us if you need ANYTHING at all at ANY time, so we can rectify any issue during your stay to ensure you give us a 5 star rating in every category. ????
