I always think of the movie Waiting to Exhale, immediately after the mention/thought/discussion of Arizona. When I learned that I would be visiting Scottsdale to cover a cannabis friendly BnB, I thought about Robin and her dream of marriage, kids, and owning a house in Scottsdale. She lived in Phoenix, and that’s a gorgeous place so naturally, Scottsdale, AZ made it to my bucket list.

I checked into a 2 bedroom townhouse listed in the Bud and Breakfast network, steps away from shopping, restaurants, and mountain views. Learn more about my experience below.

About Scottsdale, AZ

Scottsdale is east of Phoenix and is known as high-end and luxurious. Things to do include: golfing, exploring the abundant nightlife scene, and taking in breathtaking views of mountains in the desert.

Like Phoenix, there isn’t a winter season/cold season, but there is a cool season (when it’s winter everywhere else). December is the coldest month, with lows in the 40’s, highs in the 60’s. Because this is a desert city, it barely gets rain and/or snow, averaging way below country average.

Must see: Camelback Mountain, because it is gorgeous! The homes are something like Miami Beach only, in the desert. Driving around had me speechless. If hiking is a pleasure, I recommend this mountain. If walking trails are more the pleasure, I recommend Papago Park. If art is the pleasure, I recommend the Main Street Arts District.

The Scottsdale 2-Story Poolside Getaway

This is a beautiful 2 story unit great for groups/families/couples with: 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom upstairs, a half bathroom downstairs, a full kitchen, a covered patio, and a table loaded with cannabis. This bud and breakfast is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Scottsdale, sitting steps away from the Fashion Mall.

Talk about a 420 friendly BnB; the host thought of everything! Upon check in, guests have joints, flower, vape carts, a bong, and rolling papers. In the refrigerator, the host includes breakfast items that guests can prepare in the fully equipped kitchen.

The host asks that smoking of tobacco or nicotine be done outdoors.

My Experience at The Scottsdale 2-Story Poolside Getaway

I had a really relaxing stay, elevated with the dope supply of cannabis included with my stay. This is a remodeled and really pretty townhouse, making it so easy to relax, unwind, and catch up on shows.

Because I live my life on the road, whenever I have a full kitchen, I cook. I spent the 4 days treating that space like a home and it didn’t resist it. The host is a lover of cannabis, who wants to share that love for the plant with travelers. There are hints of cannabis art/readings around the space, one thing stood out was how quiet it was. Though there are neighbors on both sides, the insulation must be great because I couldn’t hear anything coming from outside of the townhouse.

I had a luxurious time in Scottsdale and can’t wait to get back out there for a walk in the mountains. That didn’t happen this time because… I traveled with nothing but flip flops packed (smh, LOL).

Check out this sneak peek of my walk through in the space and when you’re ready, head over to Bud and Breakfast to book your stay.

Thank you to my journey to Arizona sponsors:

  • Greencore Specialty Insurance, offering insurance protection for your cannabis business.
