In September, I booked travel back up to the midwest to cover a few musts in cannabis; the Celebrity Bud and Breakfast, the BE Provisions tour with Dreka Gates, and the Goats of Cannabis Festival.

I had a 4 night stay at this gorgeous, 420 friendly BnB; just 2 hours east of Chicago, about 3 hours west of Detroit, and about 15 minutes away from South Bend. Here, guests are surrounded by lush nature, warm energy, and visits from deer, squirrels, and turkeys.

About Niles, Michigan

Niles is a city that sits in two counties, Berrien and Cass. It’s what many will consider a small midwest town perfect for a quiet getaway. The pace is calm, the sights are scenic, and the sounds are created by nature.

For many, things to do and points of interest may be the Fort Joseph Museum, the University of Notre Dame, or the Four Winds Casino. For others it may be Barron Lake, The Lavender Hill, or Madeline Bertrand.

For me and many others, it was and will be cannabis. Niles is surrounded by plenty of it. The area has about 15 dispensaries that guests can visit and shop at; my recommendation is BE Provisions in Cassopolis.

For those that like to pair cannabis with wine, this area will make you happy because there are multiple wineries and vineyards to visit. As for food, the area isn’t vegan friendly so, plant eaters, be prepared to create your own meals. The grocery store will be your best bet.

This 420 friendly BnB is luxurious, spacious, and perfect for groups. Guests have the full 1st floor/ level of the home. The space is gorgeous! Inside guests will find 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, a kitchenette/ food prep area, dining space, a pool table, a patio, a barbeque grill, TV’s, streaming apps, and more.

Guests staying at the Celebrity BnB will have the beautiful experience of being visited by deer who love being in the yard. I saw them multiple times a day for long periods each time. I couldn’t blame them, I loved being there too.

The hosts are amazing! It’s very obvious that they love sharing their home with travelers and providing a home away from home experience. They are really dedicated to making sure that guests have a wonderful time. I spent time chatting with very passionate people that truly love cannabis and have a love for providing memorable experiences.

My Experience at Celebrity BnB

I flew to Chicago, and took the train from there to Niles. I checked in with stars in my eyes; the place is gorgeous! I love a nice, spacious, and cozy BnB. There are fluffy pillows and throws in the living room, a nice big sectional with a huge TV on the wall in front of it, windows from corner to corner behind the TV that allow you to see the stars from inside, granite counters; I wasn’t even there 24 hours before asking if I really had to check out.

Cannabis is provided at check in, a welcome sesh and bedtime sesh comes with each stay. Smoking cannabis is allowed indoors and out, smoking cigarettes and cigars is allowed outdoors only. I found myself outside a little more than expected. I loved being outside watching, feeling, and listening to nature.

It’s a great place to be, rest, and connect. While there I spent time with my friend Erin; head of, voice of, and passion behind the Breaking Bread Village. The energy of the space allowed us to get comfortable and have much needed conversation on the topic of cannabis.

A piece of advice, it may be best to rent a car in this area. I didn’t and learned fast that ride share services don’t work the same out that way. I booked a ride to get me out to Cass County for the BE Provisions Tour and the Goats of Cannabis Festival. Because Notre Dame had a big home game, there were no ride share services available. For 3 hours, the app was in search mode.

Luckily I was with a group and was able to get a ride from them, but had I not been, who knows how I would’ve made it back to Niles. The Celebrity BnB hosts were so amazing. They already had plans and were at a separate event, but still took the time to help me navigate getting back to Niles.
