Modern 1 bedroom English basement apartment located in the Historic Brookland area in Washington, D.C. Minutes away from the downtown area and numerous monuments of the city.

The neighborhood offers endless restaurants, bars and entertainment options all within walking distance. Youâ€™ll never be bored being located in the heart of the city.

This space is perfect for 420-culture explorations, city exploration, romantic getaways, weekend escapes, solo and business travel. Youâ€™ll be just minutes away from the downtown area and numerous monuments of the city.

Location/Transportation:
The apartment is situated between the Brookland/CUA and Rhode Island Ave Metro Station on the red line which a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. Uber or Lyft will get you to most, if not all, of the downtown memorials, sites and night life in 20 mins or less!You will be 2 blocks from DC’s Capital Bike Share where you can rent bikes from a self-service kiosk to tour the city or just to get around.

The Neighborhood:
The Brookland neighborhood offers endless restaurants, bars and entertainment options all within walking distance. You’ll never be bored being located in the heart of the city.The Right Proper Brewing Company and Tastemakers, a former factory that houses local food vendors and a Ben Franklin themed bar are a stones throw away from the apartment.Just a 10 minute walk up the road, visit some of DC’s favorite restaurants at Monroe Street Market. This open air complex houses BusBoys and Poets, Brookland Pint, Starbucks, Chipotles, and much more! We even have a neighborhood head shop: Brookland Smoke Shop.

Parking:
There is plenty of free street parking in the front of the house. Read signs carefully to avoid a parking ticket.

Out of town, medical marijuana patients are now able to purchase medical cannabis at DC dispensaries. Visitors with their MMJ cards from any states can purchase from local dispensaries.

Why would you stay in a hotel? This place is located in a great neighborhood. We walked to a local grill for a delicious, affordable and generous breakfast. We took uber a few times into downtown – the apt is a Metro ride, walk or Uber drive from anything you could ever want.

The host was very responsive to questions and recommended restaurants based on our food preferences. Excellent communication – no surprises – everything was as it was advertised or better.

The space was great, – private, clean, and even had a full kitchen! We were amazed and oh so relaxed. Bed was comfy and there was even a fan in the room. Great water pressure in shower and generous hot water – impressive!
The pre-rolls were great quality.
We have already recommended this place to friends and will surely stay again ourselves.
Great DC getaway – only good vibes and memories 🙂

We wanted an affordable, 420-friendly place to celebrate birthday and see some historical locations, and this place knocked it out of the park!
The host was prompt answering our (numerous) pre & post-check – in questions, and had some great suggestions on spots to visit.
The apartment was spacious, well laid out, clean, and the pre-rolls were just what the Doc ordered after the long drive 🙂
I look forward to staying there again and experiencing more of Brookland! Had a blast!!!

You can not go wrong!!!The host was very helpful during the entire process from booking to arrival. The space is amazing and the neighbors around the apartment are super nice! We really enjoyed our stay at high escape, the apartment was really cute , and clean . I would have liked to have met the host during my stay but there is always next time. Will definitely visit again if the chance arises, also highly recommend others to book here. The only problem was the key was hard to get out of the deadbolt when locking or unlocking the door.

By far the best getaway me and my fiancé ever had. The place was beautiful and the host was so sweet and was a text away whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be coming back very soon!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. 10/10

Wonderful place! Everything as pictured, host was very kind, accommodating, and on top of communication. Check-in/check-out couldn’t have been any easier, and you’d be very hard pressed to find the same level of overall value at another Bud & Breakfast type lodging location in D.C. – or any type of lodging in D.C. for that matter…most standard hotels and motels have nightly rates higher than this place!

My fiancé and I had an amazing affordable weekend here a few months ago, the host was amazing and always got back to us with any issues or questions regardless of how busy she was.
I tend to forget to leave reviews but this was such an easy and amazing experience I had to make sure I left a positive review. Can’t wait to book again!

Ayana is a wonderful host! Her apartment had everything we needed, including an amazon firestick with Netflix and Hulu. We upgraded our stay with one of the packages she offers and were very happy with the quality of our gifts. Great place with great value!! The only thing I would have done differently is stayed longer and smoked more 🙂

This was a great place to stay in DC. Very close to many cannabis events and a nice, cozy location. My girlfriend and I really loved staying here at this apartment. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
