Cannabis friendly accommodations are slowly making their way to Florida and I couldn’t be more thrilled; there’s a Florida bud and breakfast, in Daytona Beach! For those that aren’t familiar with Daytona Beach, the city sits on the east coast of central Florida, the same coast as Miami and Jacksonville (Miami is way south, Jacksonville is way north, and Daytona Beach is in the middle). This king size studio is perfect for a cannabis lover’s Florida vacation; it’s fully loaded and not just with amenities, but with love for the plant.

Guests will find: a full size kitchen with full size appliances, a dining area/table that seats 4, a reclining sectional sofa that seats 4, 2 televisions, a full size bathroom, a bedroom with a king size bed (seperate from the dining/kitchen/seating space- but not by a door, just a wall and drapes), a walk in closet that also serves as the laundry room, and stack washer and dryer.

The hosts at Leach Rental 184 thought of everything including education: the kitchen has everything needed to cook, brew coffee, bake, and eat: pots, pans, cups, mugs, plates, forks, knives, cutting board, etc;  the laundry room has a towel and linen reserve; and there’s art on the wall and reading material sprinkled throughout that serves as fun, but also education.

Customer service, availability, and easy check in and out rank high. The hosts were available at check in to make sure I got in ok, they were quick to respond the 1-2 times I reached out with questions, and not only is the studio very clean, but so is the property it sits on.

Visiting Daytona Beach, FL

Daytona Beach, FL is a beautiful city; it’s home to: HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Bethune Cookman University, Daytona International Speedway, and is considered the mecca for racing enthusiasts.

Unlike Miami, people can drive their cars onto the beach in certain areas and people can take a coastal ride and see the beach- not just real estate blocking the view. And while Miami is a famous city and Miami Beach is tourism goals- they aren’t the world’s most famous. Visiting Daytona Beach means visiting the World’s Most Famous Beach

Things to Do and See in Daytona Beach, FL

Florida is a medical cannabis only state, meaning, a medical cannabis card is needed for dispensary purchases. Those traveling from out of state can recreationally shop for hemp, CBD, and Delta 8 products at various smoke shops. Those in Florida that have medical cannabis cards issued by the state of Florida can visit one of many cannabis dispensaries in the city.

Besides the beach- which is the main event in my opinion, visitors can: take a scenic drive on the 23 mile stretch known as Daytona Beach, and/or visit the speedway; and/or shop at the mall; and/or visit the botanical garden; and/or visit the lighthouse; and/or visit the lagoon, and/or so much more.

Final Words

Check out this video of me walking through the Daytona Beach bud and breakfast. I had an amazing time mixing in a little work, a little play, and a little rest. The location is close enough to all the action on the beach, and far enough from it all to hear the birds singing in the mornings.

Stay tuned for more of my Bud and Breakfast visits, reviews, and features. I’m touring the country to check in, highlight, and review the Bud and Breakfast network of cannabis friendly lodging. If you have a cannabis friendly bnb, consider listing it in Bud and Breakfast network.
