Out of the 14 states listed, New Hampshire has 1, Maine lists 13 and Massachusetts has 16, meaning lots of opportunities for you to be the first to offer lodging in your state. Take advantage of the growth of eco-tourism (marijuana tourism falls under this category) and the huge market  for cannabis and hemp consumption, information, hands-on experience and tourism. Set up your extra room, fix up your Airstream, add a yurt or treehouse, and start sharing cannabis culture with guests. Are you a grower? Do you have a farm? People are looking for places like that to visit and want to work with the plant. If you have a hemp farm, advertise that you offer tours or offer chance to harvest and process. Offer hempcrete seminars. The more you can promote you and your listing, the better. Let us know if you need any tips.

Just read this, from a Forbes article: “The Next Big Thing In Cannabis: Tourism”

“Cannabis tourism is growing at a fast clip, drawing thousands of people — and millions of dollars — to states where adult use of cannabis is legal. In Colorado alone, cannabis tourism has grown 51% since 2014, according to a report from the state’s department of revenue.”

Europe is a wide open market for hemp and marijuana tourism as well. List, list, list! Good for you, good for your visitors, good for the environment, good for Earth.

From Euro News: Europe’s Eco-Travel Boom

“The people who choose ecotourism are generally ready to pay more in order to enjoy activities. That generates more revenue, which allows firms in this sector to hire more qualified staff. It also enables companies to offer tourists a much better travel experience than they would normally be able to offer” Travelecoology’s CEO, Julia Vera, says.”

We like this article from CNBC as well: Eco-Friendly Tourism Is Becoming A Movement, And More Vacationers Are Buying Into The Concept.

“Over the last three years, 60 percent of U.S. travelers reported taking a “sustainable” trip and say they have a responsibility to make sure their trips do not cause harm to a destination.”

Marijuana Tourism In Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts

What do you think of when you think of these New England States? Lobster? No state taxes? Harvard? – you can have it all (with pot). Combine a trip to Boston with a visit to the Boston Freedom Rally, a 30 year tradition. A favorite event is Uncle Stoner’s Squash Off. Hundreds of people submit their cannabis products for judging. Watch flowers being squashed in a rosin press and how rosin is gathered. Celebrity guests and judges. Bobby West is Uncle Stoner and is one of cannabis’s OG’s traveling the world and documenting it for prosperity. If you’re interested in hash, rosin and extracts, he’s your man.

In Maine, unless you are a medical marijuana patient, there are no adult-use dispensaries yet. However, if you have your medical card from out of state, Maine is one of the few states that has reciprocal agreements. Escape the heat on the coast in Maine.

New Hampshire has medical marijuana patients and dispensaries for them but nothing for adult-use, however, marijuana is decriminalized.

We recommend booking your stays in advance if you are considering September or October as the leaf peepers will be in New England full force.
