Cannabis legalization in New Hampshire as of June 2013 by House Bill 573 allows patients with designated medical conditions to register to possess up to two ounces of marijuana. The bill allows just four non-profit treatment centers for alternative practices to cultivate and sell cannabis to patients who qualify.

There is a growing movement in New Hampshire to make possessing small amounts of cannabis less of an offense. The New Hampshire House voted in March in favor of a bill that made carrying less than a half-ounce a violation-level offense, which means one that is treated like a speeding ticket.
